La Primera División de Escocia (en inglés Irn-Bru Scottish Football League First Division Championship) es la segunda liga más importante del sistema de liga de fútbol escocés, solo superada por la Premier League de Escocia. Entre los años 1890 y 1975 esta era la división más alta, pero en la temporada 1975-76 se reestructura el sistema de fútbol escocés y se crear las divisiones Premier, Primera y Segunda, de este modo la Primera División de Escocia reemplaza la antigua Liga de Segunda División de Fútbol Escocés.

La división contiene diez equipos y cada final de temporada el equipo vencedor asciende a la Premier League, siempre que sus estadio cumpla con los requisitos para pertenecer a esa liga. El último club clasificado desciende automáticamente; el penúltimo va a la final del desempate de temporada con los segundos, terceros y cuartos clubes clasificados en la Segunda División.

Los equipos juegan entre sí en cuatro ocasiones con tres puntos por una victoria y un punto cada uno por un partido empatado.
