Nació en cerca de Gainsborough, en Londres Inglaterra en1689 y muere en Cambridge, en Reino Unido, en 1768. Matemático y físico inglés. Realizó trabajos sobre hidrostática y escribió un tratado sobre la luz (1738).
Ocupación
Fue profesor de astronomía en la Universidad de Cambridge.
