Michigan

The Wolverines start the season with a loss a close game to Utah by the score of 23–25. Michigan won there first game of the season by beating Miami (OH) in a close game by the score of 16–6. They end up dropping a game to there rivalry game against Notre Dame by the score of 17–35. The Wolverines get back on track by upsetting No. 9 Wisconsin by the score of 27–25. They lost to Illinois by the score of 20–45.

Aftermath

Toledo become the first Mid–American Conference (MAC) to beat Michigan. The Wolverines was 24–0 against MAC schools until they lost to Toledo. This was Michigan worst record at 2–4 after six games since 1967.
