2023–24 AHL season
The 2023–24 AHL season will be the 88th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season will begin in October 2023, and end in April 2024. The 2024 Calder Cup playoffs will follow the conclusion of the regular season.

League changes
For the first time since the 1994–95 season, the league will feature an independent team, with the Chicago Wolves playing independently, as they chose to end their affiliation with Carolina Hurricanes.[1] The league will also feature its first dual-affiliation since the shortened 2020–21 season, and first in a full season since the 2007–08 season.
