Abkuh District
Abkuh District (Persian: بخش آبکوه) is in Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Almajeq.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Dughayi Rural District of the Central District) was 13,180 in 3,297 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 11,857 people in 3,445 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 11,704 inhabitants in 3,688 households.[2]
After the census, two rural districts of the Central District were separated from the district.[6] Dughayi Rural District was elevated to the status of Abkuh District, containing the newly formed Bahar Rural District.[3] The villages of Almajeq, Mezerj, and Shahr-e Kohneh were raised to the status of cities.[7][8]
