Aitraaz (TV serial)

Aitraaz (Urdu: اعتراض, lit.'Objection') is a 2015 Pakistani television family drama series aired on ARY Digital.[1] It is produced by Humayun Saeed, Shahzad Nasib under Six Sigma Plus. It stars Imran Abbas, Sana Javed and Sania Saeed in lead roles.[2][3][4]

Plot Summary

Komal after losing her parents finds her comfort in Wajdaan. After being together for 2 years they decided to marry however, Hania (Wajdaan's mother), a status conscious woman was very sure that Komal would never live a comfortable life in their household as she came from a total different class. Disappointed with Wajdaan's family behavior, Komal breaks up with him.

Later, Arsalan comes into Komal's life and she decides to move on from her past and they both get married. On the other hand, Wajdaan marries Sonia, a wealthy woman having a daughter Tina from her first husband. Things get tangled up when destiny connects Wajdaan, Komal, Arsalan and Sonia in a web of relationships and brings them under one roof.

Production

In early 2015, it was reported that Imran Abbas is going to star in a drama serial opposite Sana Javed for ARY Digital. Abbas and Javed plays the lead protagonists whereas Saeed is playing as an antagonist in the serial. Aiman and Minal, twin sisters appeared in the drama alternatively, portraying the character of Tina. The serial was titled "Tum Rahe Na Tum" initially but later changed to "Aitraaz".[3] The shooting of the serial took place in Karachi, Pakistan.

Reception

Despite the stellar cast, Aitraaz couldn't do wonders on television ratings charts. However, the direction of Yousuf was praised by the critics. The on-screen chemistry between Abbas and Javed was also liked by the audiences.[6] Saeed's acting and Hussain's character received positive response from the viewers.
