Alberto Marí

Alberto Marí Sánchez (born 11 July 2001) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Valencia CF Mestalla.

Career

Marí is a youth product of the academies of Hércules CF, Real Valladolid and SD Eibar. He began his senior career with Eibar's farm team CD Vitoria in the Tercera División. After a strong start, he moved to Valencia CF on 5 July 2021 on a 3+1 year contract, being initially assigned to the reserves in Tercera División RFEF.[1]

Marí started training with the senior Valencia team in March 2023, after helping Valencia Mestalla in their promotion to Segunda Federación in 2021–22 and having a prolific season with them in 2022–23.[2] He made his professional debut with the senior Valencia side as a substitute in a 2–0 La Liga win over Elche CF on 23 April 2023.[3]

Personal life

Marí's father José Miguel, and brother Miguel also played football professionally.[1]
