Anavilasam (ആനവിലാസം),is one of the 13 villages in the Devikulam Taluk, Idukki, Indian state of Kerala.  Anavilasam is a small, picturesque village nestled in the hills of southern India. Despite its small size, Anavilasam is a microcosm of the diverse and vibrant culture of the region. From the towering peaks of the nearby mountains to the lush green cardamon that surround it, Anavilasam is a place of stunning natural beauty. But what truly sets it apart are the people and the institutions that have come together to make it a thriving community.

One of the most striking features of Anavilasam is the coexistence of different religion. There is a church (St. George Church Anavilasam) at the heart of the village, surrounded by a well-manicured garden and a  trees. On any given Sunday, one can see families dressed in their Sunday best, making their way to the church for Mass. The church is not just a place of worship, but also serves as a community center, where residents gather for weddings, funerals, and other special events.

Anavilasam Sri Mahadeva Temple is a small temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The temple is a peaceful and serene space, surrounded by cardomon plantation. The temple is a place of solace and refuge for many of the village's residents, and its doors are open to all who seek peace and comfort.

There is a small but well-equipped school (St. George U.P School Anavilasam) that serves the needs of the children. The school has a dedicated and passionate staff, who work tirelessly to provide a quality education to their students. The children of the village attend the school with enthusiasm and pride, eager to learn and grow.

Another important institution in Anavilasam village is the local bank (SBI Anavilasam). The bank provides a range of financial services to the residents of the village, from savings accounts to loans. The bank is a crucial link between the village and the outside world, helping residents to access the financial resources they need to grow and prosper.

Anavilasam post office is also an important hub of activity in the village. It serves as a vital connection to the rest of the world, allowing residents to send and receive mail and packages. The post office is a bustling place, filled with villagers chatting and catching up on the latest news.

the village is surrounded by fields of cardamon, a spice that is grown and harvested by local farmers. The cardamom farms are a source of livelihood for many of the village's residents, and the spice is an important export for the region. The farmers work tirelessly, tending to their crops and caring for the land. The rich, aromatic scent of cardamom fills the air, reminding us of the hard work and dedication of the village's farmers.
