Anne Keast-Butler
Anne Keast-Butler is the deputy Director General of MI5, Britain's domestic security and intelligence agency.
Career
She will become Director of GCHQ in May 2023,[1][2][3] succeeding Jeremy Fleming to become the first woman to hold the post.[2]
Keast-Butler has previously worked at GCHQ as Head of Counter Terrorism and Serious Organised Crime.[3]
Personal life
Keast-Butler grew up in Cambridge and earned a degree in mathematics from Merton College, Oxford.[2]
She is married, with three children.[2]
