Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai (transl. Just One Guy Is Enough) is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language courtroom-drama film directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and produced by Zee Studios along with Bhanushali Studios. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee as the lead.[3][4][5] The film brings back the team of Manoj Bajpayee and Suparn Verma, who earlier collaborated for The Family Man[6] The film is scheduled to be released on 23 May 2023 on ZEE5.[7]

Synopsis

Bandaa is a courtroom drama Inspired by true events. It is the story of a five-year-long standalone fight of a regular session court lawyer who stands for the truth, and his struggle to bring justice to the girls who were wronged by a god man.[8]

Production

The shoots of the film started on October 9, 2022, when it was also announced that Manoj Bajpayee has been signed to play the lead.[9][10] The film was primarily shot in Mumbai.[11] The shoots were wrapped by December 2022.[12]

Marketing

The first look of the movie was released on December 8, 2022.[13][14] Subsequently, the release of the film was announced through a teaser poster on April 23, 2023, to mark Manoj Bajpayee's birthday. The trailer of the film was launched on May 8, 2023.[15]

Controversy

Famous Saint Asaram Bapu sent a legal notice to the producers of the film right after the trailer launch.[16][17]
