Barwar (caste)
Barwar is a Kshatriya dynasty, which is of Vats / Vatsyan clan, they reached Triveni Sangam via Ujjain from Rajasthan in 1770.
Baruwar /Barwar[1] is a cadet branch of (Bais (Kshatriya clan) found in Ayodhya District of Uttar Pradesh, India. Baruwars [2] are descendant of Raja Trilokchand son of Shatan dev.[3] According to their claim they came to Ayodhya in late 16th century from Daundiya Kheda of district Unnao which is their place of origin.[1]
The name of a head of his panchayat, Ahankaro Rai, who was a Barwar Sardar, entered Awadh under his leadership and established a town which is eleven kos from Faizabad city. Later, battles were fought for many Rajputs from here. Barwars are mainly concentrated in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh.

Most of them considered as Bais Rajput (Thakur) in Uttar Pradesh and according to the 2011 Census of India it showed the Barwar population as 18,105. 2]
