Beleg Mountain

Beleg (Albanian: Maja Beleg or Beleg; Montenegrin and Serbian: Белег, Beleg) is a mountain reaching a height of 2,142 m (7,028 ft) located on the tripoint of Serbia, Kosovo[lower-alpha 1] and Montenegro. It is the second highest peak of the Mokra Gora mountain in the Prokletije range after Pogled at 2,156 m (7,073 ft). Beleg is located a few kilometres north-west of the town of Istok in Kosovo. [1]

Notes

  1. The political status of Kosovo is disputed. Having unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008, Kosovo is formally recognised as a sovereign state by 101 UN member states (with another 13 states recognising it at some point but then withdrawing their recognition) and 92 states not recognizing it, while Serbia continues to claim it as a part of its own territory.
