Blake D. Moret

Blake D. Moret is an American businessman and the current president, chief executive officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Board of Rockwell Automation.[1]

Early life and education

Moret was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in November of 1962. He graduated the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1985 with a Bachelor's of Science in mechanical engineering.[2]

Career

In 1985, after his graduation, Moret began working at Rockwell as a sales trainee.[3] Through 2005 he maintained various sales and business management roles, including international assignments in Canada and Europe.[4]

In 2005, Moret returned from his international role and became the director of Rockwell's operator interface business.[5]

Moret became Vice President and General Manager of Customer Support in January 2007. Four years later he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Controls Products, a position he held until July of 2016 when he became President and CEO.[6]

In January of 2018, Moret was made Chairman of the Board in addition to his responsibilities as President and CEO, a position he continues to hold.

Awards

In 2017, Rockwell received a Catalyst Award for its culture of inclusion. Moret accepted the award on behalf of the company.[7]
