History

Body Central was an american clothing store based in Jacksonville Florida, that took place in shopping malls. The store primarily sold young women, and teens clothing. The store was immensely popular through the early 2000s, and was comparable to Wet Seal, or Aeropostale. The cracks started to show in 2011, when news came of the company being 18 Million dollars in debt. On January 11 2015, the company filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, and announced it would be closing all 265 stores across the US.[1] All 2,500 of the companies employees lost their jobs after the event.[2] The appearel brand took place in over 200 shopping centers across the country including The Mall At Tuttle Crossing, Lakeforest Mall, and Southern Park Mall. By Mid March, all stores were fully liquidated.
