Bonia Corporation Berhad (MYX: 9288) is an international luxury fashion retailer based in Malaysia which has more than 700 sales outlets across Asia.[2] It markets footwear, leatherwear and accessories. It is also involved in other manufacturing businesses.

The company was founded in 1974 by Sang Sem Chiang, the Group's Executive Chairman, who started the business of designing, manufacturing, and wholesaling leather goods in Singapore.[3][4]
It was listed on the KLCI Bursa Malaysia secondary bourse in 1994. It later was transferred to the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.[5]
For the fiscal year ending June 2011, Bonia had sales of 461.38 million Malaysian Ringgits.[1] For the fiscal year ending June 2012, Bonia had sales of 579.81 million Malaysian Ringgits (US$182.39 million), which is 25.7% higher than in 2011.[1] For the fiscal year ending June 2014, Bonia reported sales of 691.61 million Malaysia Ringgits (US$194.11 million), which increased 9.4% compared to the year 2013 when the company's sales were 632.32 million Malaysian Ringgits.

In 2012, Bonia, through its 70%-owned subsidiary Jeco Pte Ltd, completed the acquisition of a 49% stake in Braun Büffel, a German leather goods manufacturer, in a transaction valued at EUR 3,2 million. The transaction included the acquisition of a trademark registered in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Canada.[7]
In 2013, Jeco, the Bonia subsidiary, hired Damiano Biella to be the Creative Director of Braun Büffel, leading a design team for the German brand based out of Singapore.[8][9] In 2019, Fabio Panzeri replaces Damiano Biella over as the Creative Director[10].
In 2021, Bonia appointed Jonathan Liang as the Creative Director of Bonia, leading a design team for the homegrown Malaysian brand out of Malaysia. [11]
