Brett Cooper (commentator)

Brett Cooper is an American conservative political commentator and media personality. Cooper hosts the YouTube channel The Comments Section with Brett Cooper produced by the Daily Wire. She also writes for the Foundation for Economic Freedom and was an ambassador for PragerU and Turning Point USA.[2][3]

Early life and education

Cooper was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and at age 10 also lived in Los Angeles, California to pursue a professional acting career.[2][4] Over ten years, she had roles in theater, television, and film.[5] She graduated from University of California, Los Angeles, with a major in English Literature and minor in Business from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.[2][4]

In March 2022, The Week described Cooper's show as "aim[ing] to capture a Gen Z audience on TikTok and YouTube."[6] In March 2023, Media Matters reported Cooper "replayed and praised" insults against Dylan Mulvaney by her Daily Wire colleague Matt Walsh, who was later demonetized on YouTube[7] for infringing their policies and Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines.[8]
