Netaji Subhas University of Technology
Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) is a state university located in Dwarka, Delhi, India.[3][4] In 2018, the institute was granted University status, changing its name to Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT).[5][6]

History
Towards meeting the growing demand for manpower in the field of technology, the then Delhi Administration, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, established a new Engineering College by the name of Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT) in July 1983.
In the year 1983, the Institute started with the academic program at the UG level in the area of Electronics & Communication Engineering with an intake of 45 Students under the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. New programs in the areas of Computer Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, and Manufacturing Processes & Automation Engineering were added subsequently. Administrative autonomy was granted to the institute in 1986. The Institute was registered as a Society in the name of “Delhi Institute of Technology” (DIT) on 12th June 1987 under the Societies Registration Act No. XXI of 1860 (Registration No. S-17742 of 1987). The Institute initiated PhD programs in 1989 and also formulated several PG programs, four of which were approved by the AICTE in the year 1994. The Institute has been and is affiliated with the University of Delhi for all its UG, PG and PhD programs.
From 1983 to 1998, the Institute operated from its old campus at the old I.G. Block, Kashmere Gate, Delhi - 110006. The Institute was formally inaugurated in its new campus in Dwarka, Delhi, on 23rd January 1997 by Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister of India. The Institute was renamed as "Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology" (NSIT) in the year 1997 vide Gazette notification No. D.L. - 33002/97 dated 20.02.1997.
Concerning the Delhi Gazette published on Thursday, September 27, 2018, vide No. F. 14(7)/LA-2015/PF-III/SB(2018)/2017.—In exercise of powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 3 of The Delhi Netaji Subhas University of Technology Act, 2017 (DELHI ACT 06 of 2018), the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby appoints the 26th September 2018 as the date on which the University by the name of Netaji Subhas University of Technology, shall be established. “The Delhi Netaji Subhas University of Technology Act, 2017 (DELHI ACT 06 OF 2018) (As passed by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the 10th August 2017) An Act to provide for the reconstitution and upgradation of the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology as a non-affiliating Netaji Subhas University of Technology, and to provide for education and research in branches of engineering, technology, sciences, humanities, social sciences and management and for the advancement of learning and dissemination of knowledge in such branches and for certain other matters connected in addition to that or incidental thereto.

NSUT has a fully residential campus on 145 acres of land.[7] Campus facilities include faculty and staff residences, student hostels, cooperative mess and a sports complex. The campus is divided into clusters of buildings. The administrative block contains important offices, banks, a post office, and an auditorium where major functions are held.[8] The campus has four boys' hostels (one for each year) and two girls' hostels.[9]
East campus
The East campus is located in Geeta Colony.[10]
West campus
The West campus is located in Jaffarpur Kalan.[10]
