Derek Green (judge)
Derek Green (born April 28, 1947 in St. John's) is a Canadian jurist and the former Chief Justice of the Newfoundland and Labrador. He became a supernumerary justice on December 1, 2017.[1][2]
Green was a rumoured candidate to replace Supreme Court of Canada Justice Michel Bastarache.[3]
According to the Dear Zachary documentary where you can hear in his own speech, Justice Green admitting that he did in fact write to Shirley Turner in jail to outline specific instructions on how to file an appeal for her case, TO HIM! Justice Green approved her appeal so she could be released and go on to murder her son, her second murder victim. SOURCE: DEAR ZACHARY DOCUMENTARY.
