The Djebba Fergani is a traditional Algerian dress that originated in Algeria, more specifically Constantine.[1] It is made from velvet and features elaborate golden embroidery.[2] It is also worn in Tizi Ouzou where it is typically made using cotton.[2]
The colour of this dress is typically black or burgundy made from thick velvet and adorned with Algerian golden embroidery called El Majboud, which was inscribed in the UNESCO as an Intangible Heritage Of Humanity, along with The Algerian Kaftan and Algerian Chedda Of Tlemcen.[3] The dress is an old tradition that goes far back in Algerian history.[1]
