History

On August 29, 2002, several organizations of Bangladesh such as Bangladesh Student Federation, Bangladesh Multi-functional Labor and Hawker Association, Women Solidarity, Bangladesh Garment Workers Solidarity, Pratibesh Andolan and Bangladesh Farmer-Labor Solidarity started their journey as a national platform. After this, about 14 years later, on 27, 28 and 29 November 2016, the Mass Solidarity Movement made its debut as a political party in its third National Representative Conference. Jonaid Saki was appointed as the Chief Coordinator and Advocate Abd Salam as the Executive Coordinator of the conference.[2]

The fourth conference of the party was held on 29, 30 and 31 October 2021. Jonaid Saki was re-elected as the chief-coordinator and Abul Hasan Rubel was elected as the executive coordinator from the conference centered on the declaration of 'build greater unity for the purpose of suffrage and democratic transformation of the state' and the second central executive committee of Ganosamhati Andolan was formed.

'Ganasanhati Andolan' is a political party representing the interests of the active masses in Bangladesh. In addition to the realization of the rights of life and nature, the struggle for all the oppressed-deprived-oppressed on the basis of existing power relations and legal system, property relations and economic system and religion-caste-gender identity is the ideological struggle of Ganosamhati Andolan. The political goal of the Ganosamhati Andolan is to continue the struggle for a more egalitarian society through the establishment of a democratic state and political system[3] suitable for the rights and power of the masses and the establishment of equality, human dignity, and social justice for all citizens. We have no separate interests beyond the larger interests of the people.

In the history of this country, Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani has created the tradition of people's politics, it is our political commitment that the Ganosamhati Andolan will continue the struggle to establish the rights and power of the people.
