Given Katuta

Given Katuta (born 6 March 1969) is a Zambian politician. A member of the Forum for Democracy and Development, Katuta is a member of the National Assembly of Zambia for Chienge constituency.[1]

She was born in Nchelenge and is married to Dr. Lawrence Mwelwa, vice-chancellor of Chreso University.[2]

On May 12, 2023, she was one of 22 women awarded the "Women in Politics Champion" Award by the Africa Women Summit in Cape Town, South Africa. The award is bestowed on behalf of the Coalition of Women in Africa For Peace and Development, for outstanding contributions to empowering women and girls in Africa.
