Hélène Bamberger
Hélène Bamberger (born 1956 in Paris) is a French photographer.
Biography
Hélène Bamberger made her debut in photography in 1979 and joined the Gamma photography agency in 1980.[1]
In 1980 and 1983 she exhibited her work at the Center Georges-Pompidou.[2]
In 1982, she became a freelance photographer, and in 1989 founded the photography agency Odyssey.[1][3]
From 1980 to 1994, she worked closely with Marguerite Duras.[1] She practiced portrait photography of, among others, Paul Otchakovsky-Laurens,[4] Gilles Deleuze,[5] Patrick Modiano,[6] James Ellroy, Jean Echenoz, Marie Darrieussecq,[7] Françoise Sagan and Jeanne Moreau.[8]
From 1994, Hélène Bamberger collaborated with the Cosmos agency, and worked with major French and international magazines.[9][3]
