Held v. Montana
Held v. Montana is a current constitutional law case in which a group of Montana youth hold that state support of fossil fuels is heating the planet and denying their constitutional right to "a clean and healthful environment".[1] It is the first constitutional climate change case to reach trial in the United States. Originally filed in March 2020, a judge denied in August 2021 a state motion to dismiss.[2]
