Hutch Organised Crime Group

The Hutch Organised Crime Group, also known as the Hutch Gang, is an Irish organised crime group.[1] The leader is Gerry Hutch.[2]

Background

Gerry Hutch is from central Dublin and has been involved in crime since he was ten years old.[3]

He was later part of a gang involved in major robberies and received many convictions between 1970 and 1983 intermittently spending time in prison.[4]

Members

Apart from Gerry Hutch, some known members are:

  • Gary Hutch - a nephew of Gerry Hutch, his murder on 24 September 2015 sparked the feud with the Kinahans.[5]
  • Derek Hutch - a brother of Gary Hutch, he was attacked in prison during the feud.[6][7] He was released from prison in July 2021.[8] On 27 March 2022 he was riding his motorcycle and hit a Ukrainian woman on Amiens Street.[9]
  • Eddie Hutch Snr - a brother of Gerry Hutch, he mostly was involved in fraud and shoplifting.[10] He was shot dead on 8 February 2016 as part of the feud with the Kinahans.[10]
  • David Douglas - a former zookeeper and member of the Provisional IRA he was shot dead in July 2016 as part of the feud.[11] He survived being shot the previous November.[11] Freddie Thompson was convicted of his murder.[12]

Feud

Since September 2015 they have been involved in a feud with the Kinahan Organised Crime Group.[2]
