Development
Ascendant Studios was founded in 2018 by a group of veteran Dead Space and Call of Duty game developers. It will be the studio's first major game release.[7]
Immortals of Aveum was first announced at The Game Awards 2022 by Ascendant Studios.[8] The development team has stated that they are focused on creating a game that is both fun and challenging to play. They have also emphasized the importance of creating a game that has a strong storyline and memorable characters.[9][10] The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and is being directed by former Dead Space creative director Bret Robbins. The game is scheduled to be released on July 20, 2023. It will be published under Electronic Arts' EA Originals program.[11][12]
