Background

He started in the public eye as a political commentator for CTV and Sun News. After Sun News shut down due to financial issues, JJ McCullough would become a YouTuber.[2][3]

His videos are educational videos which cover a wide array of topics from Canadian politics, national flags, and the history of the Falun Gong movement.[2]

Political views

JJ McCullough has been skeptical of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s efforts to bring more content regulation to YouTube with bill C-10 and bill C-11.[4][5] JJ McCullough has called both pieces of legislation radical and regressive.

He wrote an article for the Washington Post titled, “ Why Does ‘Progressive’ Quebec Have So Many Massacres?” In the article, he argued that Quebec experienced a disproportionate amount of mass shootings due to what he called a history of “anti-Semitism, religious bigotry and pro-fascist sentiment.”[6] The Quebec legislature voted unanimously with a 112-0 margin to condemn the article. In a telephone interview JJ McCullough called the Quebec legislature’s motion as “preposterous and absurd.”[7]
