Kampong Menunggol
Kampong Menunggol is a village in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, on the island Pulau Berambang. The population was 541 in 2016.[1] It is one of the villages within Mukim Kota Batu, a mukim in the district.

Name
Brunei has a few place names that are tree related. According to legend, the name Menunggol derives from Bruneian words for tree stumps known as tunggul. No one really knows where, but tree stumps gave the neighborhood Kampong Menunggol its name.[2]

Kampong Menunggol Mosque is the village mosque; it was inaugurated on 14 November 1980 and can accommodate 300 worshippers.[3]
