Kingdom of Poland

The Kingdom of Poland (Polish: Królestwo Polskie; Latin: Regnum Poloniae) was a state in Central Europe. It was established in 1025 when Duke Bolesław Chrobry was crowned as King of Poland. It ceased to exist with the Partitions of Poland. Subsequently, there were several attempts to recreate it, the most permanent being the kingdom commonly known as Congress Poland, which was in personal union with the Russian Empire.
