Leon Emirali

Leon Emirali (born 4th January 1991) is a British political adviser, public relations executive and political commentator.[1] Emirali has advised the former Prime Minister, Theresa May[2] and current Health Secretary, Steve Barclay.[3]

Early life and education

Emirali studied at Coventry University and the Zhejiang University of Media and Communication in China.[4]

Career

In 2016, Emirali co-founded a digital marketing agency.[5][6] In 2019, Emirali sold his shareholding and exited the business.[3]

Emirali was appointed as an adviser to British Cabinet minister, Steve Barclay, during his time as Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union. Emirali also advised Barclay when he was appointed Chief Secretary to the Treasury following a government reshuffle in 2019.[7]

In 2022, Emirali founded a consultancy providing reputation management services to business executives and political leaders.[3] Also in 2022, Emirali was appointed as an adviser to a political lobbying firm.[7]

Emirali has written political commentary for newspapers including The Times[8] and City A.M.[9]

Emirali has stood as a candidate in local elections twice, but was not elected on either occasion.[10][11]
