Local (2023 film)

Local is a 2023 Bangladeshi political action film directed by Saif Chandan and produced by Cleopatra Films. The film starring Ador Azad, Shobnom Bubly, Misha Sawdagor, Sanj John, Shiba Shanu and many more.[1] The trailer of film was released on Saturday night 15 April 2023 on YouTube by Tiger Media announcing the release.[2] The 2 minutes 45 second trailer has been getting quite a response since its release. Many peoples shared the trailer and appreciated it.[3] Due to the positive response the film was released in Eid-al-Fitr on April 22, 2023.

Release

Wrote at The Daily Star "Talking about the positive response that the trailer receiving, director Saif Chandan spoke with The Daily Star". Also wrote that "We are hoping to release the movie in 10 theaters during Eid. I am hopeful that the audience will go watch my film Eid". said the director.[4]

As said the film was released on April 22, 2023 in 10 theaters[5]

Reception

A member of censor board, Aruna Biswas shared, "It's an amazing film".[6]

Sharing the trailer, Malek Afsari wrote, "Suddenly my eyes stuck, 2 minutes 45 seconds trailer was great. Eid film, good luck". And film actor Symon Sadik shared the trailer on his facebook profile and wrote, "Local" polapain's quality is different. They don't think about themselves, they talk about peoples".[7]

The filming for Local was started on Wednesday 9 March 2022.[8]

It was filmed in multiple locations of Dhaka and outside of Dhaka.[9]
