Mariana Monteiro

Mariana Monteiro (Porto, 17 November 1988)[2] is a Portuguese actress,[3] model and writer.[4]

Life and career

Born in Porto, she moved to Lisbon at the age of 16 in 2005 and performed in the Portuguese television teen drama Morangos com Açúcar[5] that was broadcast daily from 30 August 2003 to 15 September 2012 on the Portuguese TV station TVI. She became an exclusive TVI actress until 2013 when she made part of the cast of Doce Tentação. In 2006, she performed in Doce Fugitiva and in 2007 in Fascínios.[6] In 2012, after a summer party of the TVI television station of which she was exclusive at the time, it was known that she was dating João Mota, winner of the 2nd edition of Casa dos Segredos, of the same station, a relationship that would end in 2019.[7] In 2014 she moved to RTP to co-host the 2nd edition of the show The Voice Portugal.[8]

She is well known for her appearances in advertisements[9][10][11][12][13][14] for the Portuguese insurance company Tranquilidade.[15][16][17]
