Marina Sena

Marina de Oliveira Sena (born September 26, 1996) know professionally as Marina Sena, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and dancer. She became known after releasing her debut album "De Primeira" (2021), when the single "Por Supuesto" became a success and gained repercussions on social networks and digital platforms and after participating in "Poesia Acústica 12 - Pra Sempre".

Life and career

Born in Taiobeiras, a municipality in the north of Minas Gerais, Sena started composing music at 15 years old,[1] and at 17 years old she was a contestant of The Voice Brasil.[2] She started her professional career in 2015, as the vocalist of the band A Outra Banda da Lua, with whom she released an album and an EP.[1][3][4]

In 2019 she formed the pop music group Rosa Neon together with Marcelo Tofani, Mariana Cavanellas, Luiz Gabriel Lopes and Baka, but the band dissolved in 2020, after the publication of the farewell song "A Gente é Demais".[5][6][7][8]

In 2021 she recorded her first solo album, De Primeira, launched by the single "Me Toca".[1][3] In 2021 she won three Multishow Brazilian Music Awards for revelation artist of the year, best experimental artist and best album.[9] In 2022 she was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards, for Portuguese Language Contemporary Pop Album and Best Portuguese Language Song ("Por Supuesto").[10]
