Martin Fitzpatrick

Martin A. Fitzpatrick is a U.S. magistrate judge serving in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida since 2020. He was previously a judge on the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Florida from 2013 to 2020.

Life

Fitzpatrick completed a bachelor's degree at Stetson University.[1] He earned a J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law.[1]

In 2013, Florida governor Rick Scott appointed Fitzpatrick to the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Florida.[2] He resigned on April 3, 2020, and was succeeded by Leon County judge Anthony B. Miller.[3] In 2020, Fitzpatrick took a position as a United States magistrate judge in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.[2] In April 2023, he recused himself from Disney v. DeSantis due to conflict of interest.[4]
