Maryland Cookies are a brand name of cookie produced by Burton's Biscuit Company in the United Kingdom.[1]

The Burton's Biscuit Company started making chocolate chip cookies called Maryland cookies in 1956,[2] and they are today one of the UK's best selling cookies.[3] Over 12 billion Maryland Cookies are sold within Europe each year.[4] The recipe for Maryland Cookies resembles a chocolate chip shortbread.[5]
