Michael Mabenga
Michael Mabenga (4 July 1949 – 23 June 2021) was a Zambian politician who served as the Minister of Defence from 2000 to 2003.

He also served in the National Assembly of Zambia as a member of the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy, representing Mulobezi from 1996 to 2011. He later joined Zambian Open University as a lecturer and rose to be the dean of the School of Education.[1][2]
He died from COVID-19 at the age of 72 on 23 June 2021 and buried at Memorial Park in Lusaka.[1][3] He was survived by his wife, Eileen Mabenga, as well as six children and 15 grandchildren.[2]
