Monster Math Squad

Monster Math Squad is a Canadian CGI animated series, created by Jeff Rosen and produced by DHX Media for CBC Television. It follows the adventures of three monsters who go on missions that require math equations. Together, they solve math problems to complete missions.

Plot

The series takes place in the city of Monstrovia, where all sorts of monsters live. Three monsters named Max, Lily, and Goo are always ready to help their friends, solving math problems and learning math equations.

Main
  • The Scream Screen is a sort of television that is orange with 2 purple eyes. Monsters call on it when they need help. It screams when it opens up.
  • Max (voiced by Cory Doran) is a yellow monster with a horn and orange hands, feet and lips and green eyes. Max is the biggest and strongest of the squad, and is best friends with Goo, with whom he likes playing games with. The two also share favorite foods, and Max is usually depicted as the monster in charge.
  • Lily (voiced by Mimi Webb in the pilot episode and Julie Sype in all other episodes) is a pink cycloptic monster with a blue eye, purple back spines and an orange bow. She is the only female member of the Monster Math Squad, and is their smartest member. Lily can often be seen keeping and eye on Max and Goo when not solving problems.
  • Goo (voiced by Annick Obonsawin) is a green gelatinous monster with three purple eyes. He is the smallest of the squad, and is best friends with Max, with whom he likes playing games with. The two also share favorite foods, and Goo is usually portrayed as an eager junior member. He is always surprised by the Scream Screen.
  • Monster Math Monitors are a trio of robots with screens for mouths. The monitors are: a hockey player, a ballerina and a motorcycle.

  • Healthy Lee Lee is an orange rabbit-like monster who has 2 blue eyes. She has blue hair resembling rabbit ears. She wears pinkish-purple armbands and a pinkish-purple sweatband. She is really healthy. She only appeared in the pilot episode.
  • Momo Webby is a singer who is really girly. She is pink with 2 cyan eyes. She wears girly black and pink clothes. She only appeared in the pilot episode. The little song that she sang was possibly the same tune as Red Flags by Mimi Webb. Momo Webby's name is a pun on Mimi Webb.
  • Miss Murkley is a one-eyed monster who loves making cakes and other sweet foods.
  • Mr. Cranky Pants is a blue monster wearing a green shirt and brown pants. He is always seen with a cranky and grouchy personality. He has called the most on the Scream Screen.
  • Woofie is a turquoise monster which behaves like a dog. He often goes crazy and flees away from the Monster Math Squad.
  • Smooth Moves Monster is a purple DJ monster wearing casual clothes. He gives Monster Math Squad some hints in their missions.
  • Falls Apart Monster is a square-shaped, purple monster with two round eyes, an oval mouth, blue limbs and a triangular horn. He can fall apart like Mr. Potato Head.
  • Delivery Monster is a big, blue, rhinoceros-like monster with yellow, stubby wings on his back. He is a delivery man who delivers gifts to other monsters.
  • Mrs. Mopley is a yellow, human-like monster who has green hair. She has 3 green eyes. She is the teacher at the Monster Daycare Centre.
  • The Mini Monsters are toddler monsters who attend the Monster Daycare Centre. Saying "gooey green bananas" makes them get all excited.
  • Play-All-Day Monster is a young, red, playful monster with a flower pattern. She has 2 long antennae that she keeps her toys in.
  • Nervous Nelly Monster is a red monster with 5 arms. She has 2 blue eyes. She wears a white wedding dress. She doesn't like it when her friends are not around her.
  • Uncle Gloop is Goo's uncle. He is purple and has 3 green eyes. He runs a funfair ride called the Monster-Go-Round.
  • Stinky Feet Monster is a green monster. He has a pink horn on his head. He has one purple eye. He has really stinky feet and loves stinky footbaths.
  • Long Tail Monster is a blue monster who has a really long tail that is dangerous when it wags; it knocks out anyone behind him. He has one green eye.
  • Squawk Monster is a small monster with a trumpet for his mouth. He has 2 blue eyes. He has small, pink wings. He has very bad breath.
  • Stinky Armpits Monster is a small, yellow monster with 3 blue eyes. He has really stinky armpits.
  • Smelly Toes Monster is a green monster with 3 blue eyes. He has really stinky toes.
  • Hoppity Monster is a green monster with one yellow eye. He has a horn on his head. He only has one leg. He loves to play hopscotch.
  • Muddle Monster is a yellow, spotty monster with one blue eye. He is Miss Murkley's nephew. He is very mixed-up and often wears his underpants over his pants and his socks over his shoes.
  • Double Monster is a vermillion, spotty monster with 2 faces and 2 feet on both of his legs. He has 4 yellow horns on his head. His 4 eyes are brown. He only likes things double.
  • Miss Handmonster is a green monster with one blue eye. She resembles a woman's hand. She doesn't like having dirty nails at parties. She doesn't really have any arms. Her dance partner is orange and male and also resembles a hand. Just like Miss Handmonster, he has one blue eye and doesn't really have any arms.
  • Number Line Monster is a green monster with 2 purple eyes. His body has blue blocks with the numbers 1-10 on it. They are detachable.
  • Monsterangelo is a big, green, spotty monster with 2 yellow eyes. He has black hair, a tiny black beard and a black moustache. He wears a brown apron. He is a sculptor. His name is a pun on Michelangelo.
  • Sally Scout Monster is a green monster with 2 purple eyes. She has 2 horns on her head. She loves Crab Apple Cookies.
  • Even Stevie and Even Evie are 2 purple monsters who are twins. They both have 2 eyes. Even Evie is more pink-ish in colour. Even Stevie's eyes are the colour of Even Evie's body, while Even Evie's eyes are the colour of Even Stevie's body.
  • Number Muncher Monster is a blue monster with one green eye. He has stripy limbs. He is capable of eating numbers.
  • Sydney Squid Monster is a big, yellow, spotty monster who resembles a squid. She has one yellow eye. She is girly and wears a tiara made of seashells. She is great at organising tea parties. Her friends nickname her "Squiddy".
  • Trudy Tri Monster is a big, blue monster with 3 yellow eyes. She also has 3 horns and 3 pink bows. At tea parties, she likes having 1 mucky-ucky marshmallow and 2 teacups in her spot.
  • Farmer Monster is an orange monster with one brown eye. He has 2 yellow horns at the sides of his head. He wears blue dungarees and a green cap. He is a farmer.
  • Picky Eater Monster is a blue monster with 2 blue eyes. He wears a bowler hat and a red bowtie. He loves picnics.
  • Persnickety Eater Monster is Picky Eater Monster's brother. He looks just like him, but he is red with a blue bowtie. The 2 of them are often together.
  • Freezy Treat Monster is a purple monster with 2 green eyes. He has green legs. He has a sort of white border around him. He is an ice-cream maker.
  • Joke Monster is a purple monster with one green eye and a yellow hat with 3 purple eyes. He wears yellow pants. He is a clown, and because of that, he has a red nose.
  • Miss Hattie Monster is a big, pink monster with 2 cyan eyes. She wears a huge, green hat with a pink flower on it. She wears a cyan dress. She is a hat maker.
  • Mr. Three-Head Monster is a purple monster with 3 heads. He has green eyes. He has 1 eye and 1 horn on his first head, 2 eyes and 2 horns on his second head and 3 eyes and 3 horns on his third head. He wears a black button-down shirt. He also wears white and black shoes.
  • Miss Shush Monster is a green monster with 2 dark cyan eyes. She has purple hair in a bun. She wears blue glasses. She also wears a purple dress. She is a librarian.
  • Big Burp Monster is a blue monster with 3 purple eyes. His burps are so loud that they can cause earthquakes.
  • Mail Carrier Monster is a red monster with one green eye. He has 2 horns at the sides of his head. He is a postman.
  • Lickety Monster is a small, green, four-legged monster with 2 brown eyes. He often licks things, such as the camera! XD
  • Sporty Monster is a vermilion monster with one blue eye. He wears blue clothes. He is a sports instructor.
  • Maker Monster is an orange monster with 2 green eyes. She has fins and tentacles. She has a brown ponytail on the back of her head. She wears blue dungarees. She works in a toy factory.
