Moyne, County Wicklow

Moyne (Irish: An Maighean or Maighin, lit.'little plain') is a civil parish in the barony of Ballinacor South, County Wicklow.[1]

Moyne is a picturesque hamlet of Georgian period influence which is one of the stops along The Wicklow Way.[2]

History and Folklore

There were two schools in Moyne during the 19th and 20th centuries, a private school with about 40 pupils and a larger one.[3]
