NFL annual scoring leaders

LaDainian Tomlinson holds the single season points record with 186 in 2006. Notably without a single field goal kicked.

Don Hutson lead the league in a record five consecutive seasons from 1940–1944. Hutson is also tied for the most seasons leading the league in points, with five.[2]

Stephen Gostkowski lead the league in scoring five times with the New England Patriots, tying the record for most seasons leading the league in points. Gostkowski also has the second longest streak of consecutive seasons leading the league.[3]

Jerry Rice is the most recent wide receiver to league the league, having done so in the 1987 NFL season.

Marshall Faulk is the only player to lead the league in back to back seasons without kicking a field goal. He lead the league in the 2000 and 2001 NFL seasons.[4]
