Nazranovskiy Okrug

The Nazranovskiy Okrug[lower-alpha 1] was a district (okrug) of the Terek Oblast of the Caucasus Viceroyalty of the Russian Empire. The area of the Nazranovskiy Okrug made up part of the North Caucasian Federal District of Russia. The district was eponymously named for its administrative centre, Nazran,[1] which according to some sources was actually not the administrative centre of the district, although initially intended to be one. According to the same source, the administrative centre of the district was Vladikavkaz.[2]
