Noor Taher

Noor Taher was born on 2 of November 1999 in Amman, Jordan, to a Palestinian father and a Lebanese mother. She has one younger sister, Karam Taher, also an actress who starred in the movie Farha . Noor is classically trained in ballet.[5] Her acting career began at the age of four. She was introduced to the film industry by her performing arts teacher, who was also a casting director at the time.[6]

Taher's first acting role was in The Stoning of Soraya M. in 2008. Until 2018 she focused on her education before taking up another acting role in the 2019 film Infidel. Her most notable role was in the 2021 Netflix miniseries, AlRawabi School for Girls, which premiered in 32 languages across 190 countries.[7]

In an interview to Harper's Bazaar Arabia,[8] Noor speaks about the joy of being on stage and performing in front of an audience. She says since the age of six she has been on film sets, and she has been in love ever since. In the conversation, she mentions that growing up she looked up to Anne Hathaway and Angelina Jolie. However, she says the one person she looks up to in the industry is her AlRawabi School for Girls, co-star Rakeen Saad. She cherishes any advice that comes from her and maintains that Rakeen is a phenomenal actress.

In March 2022, Taher revealed through her Instagram that she had suffered from epilepsy caused by a sudden seizure. She underwent brain surgery and was hospitalized for six days. Taher emphasized that these seizures were difficult to live with, as they are "not normal, but rather painful, and recovery from them does not come naturally." Taher wanted to spread public awareness about the disease and thanked her followers for showing support.[9]
