Nordglanz
Nordglanz is a German NSBM band from Frankfurt, coming from a right-wing rock background.[1] The Hesse Constitutional Protection Authority describes the band in a 2006 constitutional protection report as a far-right skinhead gang;[2] the band itself describes its style on its homepage as "Thulean nationalist black metal.

History
Nordglanz was founded in the late 1990s, as an individual project under the name "Hyperborean", by Norbert "Njord" Noleppa, who had convictions for sedition, disorderly conduct, coercion and grievous bodily harm.[1] In their own words, the first demo recording entitled "Hevn eller befrielse" was released in 1999.
The first performance took place in 2002, by which time the bassist and the drummer had joined the band. In the same year the album "Nordglanz" was recorded, but it was not officially released. Only two years later, parts of these recordings were released on cassette called "Völkermord" in 88 copies.
At the end of 2003 a keyboard player joined the band, and a few of their gigs followed, mostly as part of the RAC movement. At this time the band was renamed as Nordglanz. In 2004 the album "Heldenreich" was created, which was released in early 2005. On the album you will find tracks with the title "Leistet Widerstand!" and covers of "Gates of Heaven" by Frank Rennicke and the band Absurd. While the Rennicke cover clearly has political overtones, the Absurd cover is simply a depressing and anti-Christian song.
At the end of 2005 bassist Felix left the band to devote himself to his own band "Blutschuld". He was replaced by "Fußball" from the band "Rachezug". On the other hand, the drummer left the band. He was replaced by "Skil". In March 2006 the next album "Kampfhymnen Germaniens" was recorded and released in summer 2006. After the recordings were finished, the keyboard player left the band.
In April 2006 a concert of Nordglanz, Oidoxie and others was supposed to take place, but it was prevented by police beforehand.[2] In September 2006 the band went back to the studio and recorded the album "Völkischer Schwarzmetall", which was released in summer 2007. The album again features an absurd cover song called "When the Old Still Were Young". Meanwhile, a new keyboardist named "Hardy" joined the band in the spring of 2007. In June 2009 a new edition of the album "Heldenreich" was released. The new edition was released in digipack and contains, besides the old songs, a newly recorded bonus song.
Style and Content
The band describes themselves as black metal through the title of their fourth album, "Völkischer Schwarzmetall" (Ethnic Black Metal), although the music is more in the realm of rock. However, the extreme vocals are more in line with metal.
The lyrics are pagan in nature, but also often refer to historical events, especially World War II. This is how the German eastern front is described in the song "Wolgawinter". , where "far to the east [soldiers] fought against the red force." "Weiße Rose," on the other hand, denies the achievements of the resistance fighters, who are described as "little fish that wanted to rise," "red figures," and, according to the group, wanted to "split the country. Winston Churchill is described in "Wotan strafe England" as a pure anti-Germanist who, out of pure hatred for the German people, allowed the attacks: "Shame on England / A murderer named sir / Shame on his masters / They took him with a deadly hand. / He hated the German people, / that's how it's known." In the same song, Rudolf Hess is glorified as a German peacemaker and martyr. The group openly holds right-wing extremist views.
Side project
Norbert Noleppa, "Skil" and "Fußball" are also involved in the side-project "Ahnenerbe", which is musically described as a mix of Death Metal and RAC. Noleppa also plays with members of "Kraftschlag" and "Noie Werte" in the right-wing rock band "Faust".
