Olanrewaju Mayowa Alaka, also known as Laerryblue, is a Nigerian talent manager, business executive and social entrepreneur.[1]

Background and education
Alaka is from Ife Central in Osun State. He was born and grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State. He attended Victory School and Adesina College - both in Ibadan, - for his primary and secondary education respectively.[2] He later went, firstly to Obafemi Awolowo University to earn a degree in German language. And then secondly, Sheffield Hallam University, where he earned a Master's degree in Public Relations.[3] Afterwards, he moved to Germany,[4] where he schoooled at IIK Berlin and Goethe-Institut.[5] He credited his stay in Germany for making him more accepting of diversity.[4]
Career
Alaka began his profession career in the early 2010s, when he handled a project for a multinational company.[6] Since then he has managed some other social media campaigns,[7] for organizations including MTN Nigeria, Gulder, National Sport Festival, African Alliance Investment Bank, Providus Bank, Keystone Bank, Coca-Cola, among others.[8] He is Social entrepreneur.[9] In an interview with Vanguard, he asserted his knack for managing female and female-owned or focused businesses because according to him, “Nigeria has one of the highest rates of female entrepreneurship globally”.[10] He had managed several female owned or targeted businesses over the years in a bid to carve niche for himself and focus on what he is passionate about.[11][3] He is the manager of Folasade Omotoyinbo, Salma Phillips, Oji Akponehwe Miracle,[12][13][14] and had a stint managing James Brown before they parted ways in June 2022.[15] He also iterated the need for a good relationship between clients and managers.[16][17] His media advocacy centers around promoting ethical journalism, news fact-checking, and accountability to combat the spreading of fake news,[18] and the need for a properly structured regulatory parastatal to that effect.[19] He was listed as one of the Top 10 Most Influential Digital Marketers in Nigeria by Legit.ng.[20]
Philanthropy
Alaka as a philanthropist has helped underprivileged communities by providing some basic amenities. He also established a scholarship program for deserving students from low-income families.[1] He is also created a platform called "Skills Outside School Foundation", aimed at building human capital development by training young people in skills like digital marketing and public speaking and equipping them with tools and devices, with the aim to bridge the gap between job market requirements and school education.[21]
Personal life
Alaka is good friends with OAP Salma Phillips.[13] He is also proficient in 5 languages - German, Portuguese, French, Yoruba and English.[5]
