Olivier-Maxence Prosper

Olivier-Maxence Prosper (born July 3, 2002) is a Canadian college basketball player for the Marquette Golden Eagles.

Early life and high school

Prosper grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.[1] He initially attended L'Académie Ste-Thérèse, which did not have a basketball team.[2] When Prosper was 16 he enrolled at Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest, Illinois.[3] Prosper transferred to the NBA Academy Latin America in Mexico City, Mexico to finish his high school career.[4] He was rated a four-star recruit and committed to play college basketball at Clemson.[5]

College career

Prosper began his college career at Clemson.[6] He averaged ten minutes of play and 2.5 points per game as a freshman.[7] After the season Prosper entered the NCAA transfer portal.[8]

Prosper ultimately transferred to Marquette.[9] He averaged 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in his first season season with the Golden Eagles.[10] Prosper averaged 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game as a junior.[11] After the season, he entered the 2023 NBA draft.[12]

Personal life

Prosper's parents, Guylaine and Gaetan, both played college basketball at Concordia University and were both mulitple-time RSEQ All-Stars.[13] His sister, Cassandre, plays basketball for Notre Dame.[14]
