Pertanika Journal of Science & Technology

The Pertanika Journal of Science & Technology is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by UPM Press of University of Putra Malaysia.[1] The journal focuses on issues pertaining to science and engineering. The editor-in-chief is Luqman Chuah Abdullah (Universiti Putra Malaysia). Current chief executive editor for all Pertanika journals is Mohd Sapuan Salit, who is one of the top materials science scientists in Malaysia.[2]

History

The journal was part of Pertanika journals which was first established in 1978. Pertanika Journal of Science & Technology was spun off from that publicationm and its first issue was published in July 1993. Other Pertanika publications include Pertanika Journal of Tropical Agricultural Science and Pertanika Journal of Social Sciences & Humanities.[3]

The journal was included in the Web of Science's Emerging Sources Citation Index in 2017.[4]
