Petite size

In fashion and clothing, a petite size is a U.S. standard clothing size. Petite sizes are designed for women 162 cm (5 ft 4 in) and under, regardless of their physical body shape or weight.[1][2][3]

Many clothing stores cater their petite sized styles to people who are 162 cm (5 ft 3.75 in) or shorter. [4][5][6][7]

Frequency

The average height of an American woman is roughly 5 ft 4 in (1.63 m).[8][9]

In the UK and throughout Europe the average height of a woman is around 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m).[10]
