Peyarar Subash

Peyarar Subash (The Scent of Sin) is a Bangladeshi film, directed by Nurul Alam Atique. It features Jaya Ahsan in the main leads with Tariq Anam Khan and others.

Nurul Alam Atique stated that, Peyarar Subash is a story that questions the dominance of men in Bengali marital sex life.[1][2]

Production

The film has been directed by Nurul Alam Atique and produced jointly by Chorki[3] and Shahriar Shakil of Alfa-i production.[4] "Peyarar Subash" has been filmed in Sirajganj and Pabna.

Release

Release of the film, for which Jaya shot six years ago, faced delay due to various reasons. Finally, this film released in January 2023.[5][6][7][8][9]

Peyarar Subash screened at the 45th Moscow International Film Festival.[10] A total of 12 movies, including "Peyarar Subash" in the main competition category, were nominated by the festival authorities.[11] Festival taken place from 20 April till 27 April 2023.[12][13]
