Poe (software)

Poe is a service developed by Quora and launched in December 2022. It allows users to ask questions and obtain answers from a range of AI bots built on top of large language models (LLMs), including those from ChatGPT developer OpenAI, and other companies like Anthropic and Neeva.

History

Short for "Platform for Open Exploration", Poe was first launched on iOS on December 21, 2022, in the form of a text messaging app which allows users to chat with the bots separately.[1] It was invite-only at the time, before it was opened to the public on February 4, 2023.[2] It was made available to desktop browsers on March 4, 2023.[3]
