Koshi Province is the Easternmost province in Nepal, That homes to nearly 5 Million people.The province is named after the sage Kausikà in 2079 Falgun 17 . Koshi province has diversified landscape tracing from Plain terai to world's highest peak-Mount Everest. Koshi is bordered to South and East by India , on West by Madhesh Province And Bagmati Province ,China on North. Nepal is culturally very rich and so is Koshi which homes almost 15 religions.Being Rich in culture also tends to have varieties of languages out of which most spoken are Nepali, Maithili, Bantawa. Province covers an area of 25,905 km2, about 17.5% of the country's total area and States Biratnagar as its capital.Koshi has also been declared as Literate Province in Nepal with 78%Literacy.One of the Important Bird Area(IBA) in World is also located in the Province -Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.
