Public Services Association


The Public Services Association of Trinidad and Tobago, is the largest and most influential trade union in Trinidad and Tobago representing public officers and workers from over 100 organizations nationally, both in the state sector and private sector. As the number one trade union in T&T, we are dedicated to advocating for the rights and interests of all workers across the country. We strive to improve working conditions, secure fair wages, and promote professional development for our members. It was originally known as the Civil Service Association but changed its name in 1971.

The bulk of the PSA membership is in the public sector but it also includes members in statutory authorities such as the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA)and private organizations such as Swissport.

The PSA, in the forefront of trade unionism in T&T, has accomplished many victories resulting in fundamental improvements in the terms and conditions of workers, many of which are documented by both Guardian and Newsday newspapers.
