RVNG

RVNG (pronounced /rɪˈvendʒ/) is a Canadian fashion company producing couture garments and ready-to-wear womenswear. The brand was founded in Toronto in 2018 by Jordan Stewart.[1] RVNG gowns have been worn on red carpet for the Emmys.[2] and by correspondent Liz Trinnear at the Academy Awards[3] and Golden Globes.[4]

History

RVNG was founded in 2018 by head designer Jordan Stewart. She had previous experience in the fashion industry as the owner of a clothing boutique, founded in 2008. Stewart cites her great-grandmother, a dress maker, and grandmother, a seamstress as influences on her fashion career.[5]

RVNG has participated New York Fashion Week with virtual runway shows in 2020 and 2021[6][7] and has participated in Paris Fashion Week.

Awards

In 2021, RVNG was nominated for the Canadian Arts and Fashion Award's Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent.[8]
